Our ever-growing family of over two hundred talented and dedicated carers are at the very heart of our organisation, and every one of them is proud to be a part of the service we provide to communities across the county.
We’re incredibly proud that many of our team have worked for us since the beginning of our journey in 2002, but we always welcome new family members.
It’s only right that we tell you what we’re looking for when recruiting to our award-winning team.
Who you are matters more to us than what you’ve done before, which is why we like to meet potential new members of the family face to face rather than have them fill in a soulless application form. We seek employees based on their values and attitude rather than direct care experience, but any past experience you have, including caring for another member of your family, is valuable.
Domiciliary care can feel very lonely. We have an experienced member of staff to support you whenever you’re at work. We call them Early Birds and Night Owls because they catch problems (like worms) and they’re very wise.
We’re always on the lookout for talented individuals with the right values to join our team.
When recruiting for location-specific roles, we hold recruitment open days. As opposed to filling out an application form online, we like to meet our potential employees face to face.
If we share each other’s values, we will complete the formalities there and then.

I’ve been working for Walnut Care in Sleaford for nine years and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it! I choose to work all week and do my home visits on my bike. We’re well supported by the management team and the team leader for my area. I like the flexibility of the hours and love making a difference in a small but important way.
I’ve worked for Walnut Care for two years. The hours are flexible, which is why I chose home care as a career. As a keen bowls player, it allows me to play when I want. The leadership team are very keen on personal development. Walnut has an in-house training department to make sure we’re fully trained and supported to deal with every eventuality.
New to the area?
